Ormondville cemetery is a restful place in a quiet country
setting. There are some very old Macrocarpa trees on the boundary.
Farquhar and Jane are buried at Ormondville Cemetery. Also buried there are three of their daughters, Catherine, Margaret and Mary. The McLeod family gravestones, although now very weathered were originally beautiful marble of elegant and ornate design.

I think the hill country here, with sheep grazing, is
likely very typical of the steep hills on the Waikopiro farm – though needless
to say the access back in the early 20th
century wasn’t like this road.
